Trend at MSU

In my mind, I think the football game is the trend in Michigan State University.

On this Saturday, in our school we had a football game. In the morning, I heared many noises, they are get together have a party. In that party, people always together barbecue and play games. And you can feel their very exciting and happy. And in the end, i saw a traffic jam on the grand river street. And many people walking go home. Even the restaruant in the Grend river street is full. So, there are many people watch the game in Sparta stadium. And, I guess there are also many people also watch the game on TV.

So, I think the football game is the trend is MSU.

My Major

Actually, I never think about my major, and I have no idea about this. But after friday's class, I think I will attend the economic class in Michigan State University. And I want to be a successful economist.

My Experience at Wilcox Elementary School

In last Wednesday, the students who study language on level 2 in the ELC go to the Wilcox Elementary School to teach the kids other country’s culture.
In our group, we have five members: Lawrence, Nancy, Jessy, Pengzhou and me. We teach the kids some very interesting Chinese words and Chinese flag and some very especial things. We draw some pictures and prepare some candy for kids. And I found some very interesting things, the kids very clever, they know the Chinese flag and map. And they also know some very Chinese things, just like panda, Kongfu, the Great Wall. During this activity, we found American children are very sweet and nice. In the end, the girl give me a picture, on the picture draw a pink heart and it write some words. And I love it, after this activity, I glue this picture on my desk.

I will never forget this activity.

Happy Halloween

This weekend is the Halloween. But I don’t go to the party, because I’m afraid of ghost. So I stay in my drom. My roommate Krissy goes to the party and she tell me the party is very excited and she is very happy.
Many people who go to party dressed very funny or horrific. I saw the best costume is my roommate Krissy. She dressed very cute, very sweet. She dressed a jeans skirt and a tee which color is alternate with red and white. And her stocking is same with her tee. And she has on a black eyeglass which let her very cute, and her hat which is very sweet, the color is also red and white.
I saw the craziest costume is my roommate Krissy’s friend who dressed like a vampire. He also colored his face to white. And he has on fangs. He looks very ugly and horrific.
So in the Halloween, everybody has a very good night, include me. I saw a concert which is my favorite singer hold. So I’ m very happy too in the Halloween.

Thinksgiving Day Travel Plan

In Thanksgiving Day, I want to travel in Chicago. Chicago is very near to East Lansing. If I take a train, only take four hours can arrive there. So, I want to travel by train. The round trip train ticket price is $56. And I want to leave for Chicago at 8:28 am on Nov 25th, and it will arrive at 11:59 am on Nov 25th. Then I will shopping at N. Michigan Ave. “Magnificent Mile”, to buy something need in winter. And on the night, I want to live in a quite hotel name is AAE Chicago Parthenon, this hotel is very clean and neat, the very important point is very cheap, only $36 per night. So I can save more many to shopping or travel more place.

And, in next three days, I want travel “Art Institute of Chicago”, “Field Museum of Natural History”, “Shedd Aquarium”, “Adler Planetarium”, “Sears Rower Skydeck”, “John Hancock Observatory”, “Millennium Park”, “Navy Pier”, “Chicago Cultural Center”, “Lincoln Park Zoo” and “Lincoln Park Conservatory”. The “Millennium Park”, “Navy Pier”, “Chicago Cultural Center”, “Lincoln Park Zoo” and “Lincoln Park Conservatory” is free, so if the time not enough, I only travel the free place.
And at 4:10 pm on the Nov 29th, I will come back East Lansing. And the train ticket and the hotel only cost $200, so I can spent $300 on other thing, like shopping or buy a printer, I need a printer to print some homework or something. So, I think I will travel very happy.

My Dormitory

This year, I study in Michigan State University. Since I had arrived Michigan State University, I lived in dormitory in the Shaw hall which is nearby the International Center. So, it very closed our class. And Shaw Hall is also very convenient to take bus, because Shaw Hall and Bus Station is opposite in locality. So, I am very gladly live in Shaw Hall.
In Shaw Hall, there are six floors. And the boys live in the underground two floors. And the underground first floor is the refectory, and some offices. And the girls live in the second, third, fourth floor. And the Shaw Hall separate into tow part, West and East. I live in the West Shaw Hall and my friend Carina live in the East Shaw Hall.
I am very like my dormitory. In my dormitory, I live with an American girl, her name is krissy. She is very nice girl. We are relationship is very close. And in my dormitory, we have a TV, a fanner, a black sofa, a microwave oven and a refrigerator. I like watching TV and surf the Internet in my dormitory. And I don’t like the bed, it is so high. It is very difficult to climb up the bed.

That is my dormitory. It is not only the place I live in, but also a home in there. I very love my dormitory.

My Favorite Restaurant in East Lansing

In East Lansing, my favorite restaurant is “Chuan Cai Fang”. The “Chuan Cai Fang” is a Chinese restaurant. There are many delicious foods. My favorite dish is “Fish- Fragrant Pork”, “Ma Po Tofu”, “Sliced Fish w. Vegetable” and so on. I always with my friend Carina go to there. We are always eating much food in there.
The restaurant address is very devious. The restaurant address is 315 S. Homer St. Lansing, is very far away from Shaw Hall which is our live in. So, before we bought bikes, we always take No.39 bus, and got off the No.39 bus in University Village, through the Red Cedar Natural Area by walk. Then we arrived the restaurant. After we bought bikes, we always ride bike to go there.
Because I came from China, and I very miss Chinese food, and this restaurant is very Chinese. So, we always go to there to eat Chinese food. Then, this is my favorite restaurant in East Lansing.

My First Month in East Lansing

My First Month in East Lansing

In August 17^th, I leave for China to a new country—America to continue my study in Michigan State University. Because of the time difference, my plane is arrived in America city Detroit in August 17^th, and then I pass the American Customs Inspection to waiting my last plane in this journey. Because this is my first go abroad by myself, I’m very atwitter and shy, I’m not get out the aerodrome in Detroit, I just waited my plane in the aerodrome. So I arrived in American first city is East Lansing.

On 5:20 p.m. in August 17^th, I arrived this journey’s destination— East Lansing. Then I come out the aerodrome in East Lansing, there is a teacher— Miss Xia to reception me, she drive a car send me to hostel near the Michigan State University. On the road, I see a very beautiful place, the white cloud on the blue sky and many green—trees and grassplot. The East Lansing gives me the impression is very beautiful place— peace, green, clean and full of vital force’s a small town, just like heaven. The habitation is very great, I love this place.

In the car, Miss Xia tells me something about America and Michigan State University, and she encourages me about my study and life in America. When I arrived the hostel, I met my first friend in America —Yi Pin. His country same with me, we come from China, he just like an elder brother, actually his age is younger than me. He helps me buy a new phone and something else. He told me some fanny thing of himself. He arrived America early than me, he doesn’t know the Chicago’s time is different from East Lansing, so he missed his plane; he stays in the aerodrome spend one night. And now, because we also start our class in ELC, we are very busy, so we are relationship not close than before. Now, my best friend is a beautiful girl—Chengchen Xie. We study together, eating together and shopping together, our relationship is very close.

When I recollect my first week in East Lansing, I feel very funny. My first week in East Lansing is very scared. I’m very afraid to speaking and listening English. And now, I’ m not afraid to speaking and listening English. On the contrary, I’m very happy to do this and in the weekend, I away with my friends to go shopping or do some sport. The life is very wonderful and happy. I’m much honored study in ELC, and I’m very happy spend to everyday.
